WORD OF THE MONTH: Words are the foundation of human communication and expression. They allow us to convey our thoughts, feelings, ideas, and experiences to others, creating a bridge between our inner world and the external reality. Every word carries its own unique power and nuance, shaping the way we perceive and interact with the world. Having a “Word of the Month” has been me a source of inspiration, sparked creative thinking, and promoted my love for language. This month’s word is “methodical”.

Methodical: (adjective) characterized by systematic, careful planning or procedure.

Example: Emily methodically researched and purchased her 4Runner, meticulously comparing features and reading reviews before making her decision.

RECIPE OF THE MONTH: Banana Pudding

This section of the newsletter is dedicated to my Mom, who loves cooking our favorite Cajun recipes that were passed down to her from her Mom, my MawMaw. This month though I’ll be sharing one of my favorite recipes my sister Erica makes; Banana Pudding. She always makes this for spring and summer holidays, it’s the best!

INGREDIENTS:

1 sweetened condensed milk

1 1/2 cup water

1 box instant vanilla pudding

1 tub cool whip

1 box Vanilla wafers

4-5 ripe bananas

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In a large bowl, combine the water and sweetened condensed milk.
2. Add instant pudding and beat well. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
3. Cut bananas into quarter inch slices.
4. Fold whip cream into pudding mixture.
5. Layer bottom of 9×13 inch casserole dish with wafers.
6. Spread pudding mixture over wafers.
7. Layer banana slices on top of pudding.
8. Garnish top with curshed wafers.
9. Chill pudding until ready to serve.
