I'm emily

...and traveling to where your love is calling.

I was gifted my first video camera in middle school, then later introduced to film photography in high school. I was instantly hooked to preserving memories and documenting intentional moments in my life and for others.

That passion and fire in my soul has led me here, now, capturing some of the most significant moments of peoples lives as an Intimate Wedding & Portrait Photographer. The photos we'll take together are so much more than "just portraits" - they're milestones in your life and by working with me you're giving your future-self the opportunity to travel back in time and visit your past-self.

It's fractions of you in this chapter of life. It's soaking in the chaos of the day. It's the smiles and happy tears exchanged between loved ones. It's the polaroids taken at the exact moment something happened and physically holding that memory. It's the champagne Cheers'ed with loved ones while dancing, forever memorializing your party with the ones you love most in this world.

You know when Andy Bernard from The Office said, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them"?...

Well that's my job; preserving your good old days now, as they are intentionally created and exist naturally :)

I understand what it's like to not feel like you fit in because of society's pressured norms. I lived my entire life in the closet as bisexual until the week before my 30th birthday. I was tired of living a life that wasn't true to my authentic-self and I wanted to leave the closeted Emily in her 20's. Coming out to the public eye was one of the scariest things I've done in my entire life so far and also one of my most proud things.

As I believe part of my purpose here on Earth is document love, specifically I feel called to document the Queer community. You all inspire me on a daily basis to love who I am in all it's complex entirety. It's one of my highest honors to create a safe space for us to create and document our beautiful love.

Love is love, it's not something we debate around here but we celebrate. Love for all. Elopements for all. Inclusion for all. Well wishes for all. I want you to feel comfortable, seen, heard, and celebrated just existing as your truest self.
