BOOK OF THE MONTH: “Period Repair Manual” by Lara Briden — I chose this book for March because this month I’ll be celebrating 20 years of having my period! This year also marks 6 years of naturally tracking my cycle using Daysy and I would love to share more info about it.

Daysy Fertility tracking. This has been critical for me in balancing my hormones after taking years of hormonal and invasive forms of birth control. 10/10 recommend the Daysy.

Having a “Word of the Month” has been me a source of inspiration, sparked creative thinking, and promoted my love for language. This month’s word is “limerence”.

RECIPE OF THE MONTH: Party Potatoes

This section of the newsletter is dedicated to my Mom, who loves cooking our favorite Cajun recipes that were passed down to her from her Mom, my MawMaw. This month though I’ll be sharing one of my favorite recipes my Mom makes; Party Potatos

INGREDIENTS:

“These ingredients really are ‘however much you want’ but for reference to start, there’s measurements below.” – my Mom

6-8 russet potatoes

1 stick butter

1/2 to 1 cup sour cream

1 cup cheese

1/4 to 1/2 cup green onions

garlic salt, pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Boil your potatoes until soft. Mash in a bowl with either beaters or fork.
2. Add butter, sour cream, green onions, garlic salt, pepper to your liking.
3. Enjoy!
