The weather forecasted for it to rain the day of Meghan and Jesse‘s wedding. With good luck on our side it simply showered in the morning and was a beautiful sunny day in Spring Texas at the Oak Tree Manor on March 9, 2019. Special thanks to Julia Stone with Set In Stone Wedding and Event Planning for creating a seamless timeline for the day!
Meghan and Jesse fell in love at Texas State University as undergraduates and have had the support and love from family and friends since their engagement in November of 2017. it’s hard to believe that their wedding day has come and past as it feels just like yesterday we were taking their engagement pictures in San Marcos! Dozens of people drove or flew in from all parts of the country including Mississippi, Washington, Illinois, Colorado, San Marcos, Laredo, and San Antonio. That’s almost 5,000 miles of love spread across the United States! The bride and I have known each other since middle school but became friends our senior year of high school during our photography class. When the newly engaged couple asked me to be their wedding photographer last year I of course said yes! I was counting down the days until the big day as routinely as they were.
I left their wedding with the biggest smile on my face, I couldn’t stop being happy because my heart was filled with so much joy and so much love from spending an entire day with the newlyweds and 160 of their closest friends and family. I can only hope that the photos I took below do justice to these two incredible people, Meghan and Jesse. Congratulations, Holstine Family – I am so incredibly happy for you and am honored that you chose me to capture one of the most important days your lives!
Cheers, Emily
