🌟 Welcome to November’s Newsletter! 🥳📝💻 As we celebrate the One Year Anniversary of the Wisch You Were Here Monthly email Newsletter, I want to extend a huge thank you to those who have been here from the beginning and to all our new subscribers! My goal has always been to provide valuable content that inspires, informs, and offers a glimpse behind the scenes of my creative process.
This monthly email newsletter has been a vision of mine for years, and now, celebrating one full year feels surreal! Over the months, I’ve shared book recommendations, family recipes, favorite songs, inspiring quotes, and words of the month, and I’m excited to announce we’re adding a Movie of the Month to the mix!

WORD OF THE MONTH: Words are the foundation of human communication and expression. They allow us to convey our thoughts, feelings, ideas, and experiences to others, creating a bridge between our inner world and the external reality. Every word carries its own unique power and nuance, shaping the way we perceive and interact with the world. Having a “Word of the Month” has been me a source of inspiration, sparked creative thinking, and promoted my love for language. This month’s word is “GRIT”.
Grit: (noun) a personality trait characterized by perseverance and passion for achieving long-term goals. Grit entails working strenuously to overcome challenges and maintaining effort and interest over time despite failures, adversities, and plateaus in progress.
Example: “Emily’s grit shone through as she refused to give up, continuing to pursue her dream with unwavering determination, even when obstacles seemed insurmountable.”
RECIPE OF THE MONTH: Chicken Tortilla Soup
This section of the newsletter is dedicated to my Mom, who loves cooking our favorite Cajun recipes that were passed down to her from her Mom, my MawMaw. This month though I’ll be sharing a fun after school treat my mom would made on our 1st Day of School. Each year me and my sisters would get home and the traditional chocolate brownies and lemonade was waiting for us. It was a fun tradition that started the school year off and I’m always reminded of it each August as schools start back in session for the year. Tbh, these were not homemade and we would typically use boxed brownie and lemonade. I hope you enjoy this one 🙂 from my kitchen to yours —
