BOOK OF THE MONTH: “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” by J.K. Rowling — I chose this book for May because the past 6 months of books have been pretty heavy or self-improvement style and I wanted to add a fun read. Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite book/movie from the series and this book reminds me of it.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER PLAYLIST // This month instead of Top 5 we’re doing Top 10 Favorite songs from the new Taylor Swift album, The Tortured Poets Department. This album is not for the casual listener, so if you’re not a Swiftie skip ahead.
TOP 10 FAVORITE SONGS FROM TTPD:
QUOTE OF THE MONTH: “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein
WORD OF THE MONTH: Words are the foundation of human communication and expression. They allow us to convey our thoughts, feelings, ideas, and experiences to others, creating a bridge between our inner world and the external reality. Every word carries its own unique power and nuance, shaping the way we perceive and interact with the world. Having a “Word of the Month” has been me a source of inspiration, sparked creative thinking, and promoted my love for language. This month’s word is “indubitably”.
Indubitably: (adverb) in a manner or to a degree that could not be doubted.
Example: Indubitably, Emily’s passion for watercolor art seamlessly intertwines with her love for crafting heartfelt greeting cards, creating beautiful pieces that brighten the days of those who receive them..
RECIPE OF THE MONTH: Vermicelli Pasta Salad
This section of the newsletter is dedicated to my Mom, who loves cooking our favorite Cajun recipes that were passed down to her from her Mom, my MawMaw. This month though I’ll be sharing one of my favorite recipes my sister Erica makes; Banana Pudding. She always makes this for spring and summer holidays, it’s the best!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb Vermicelli noodles (cooked and brooken)
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped celery
1 small purple onion chopped
1 small jar chopped pimento
1 small can chopped black olives
DRESSING:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil, plain not virgin
